In the book of Acts we read that Paul hired a place for 2 years to preach about the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ. (Acts 28:31) I have spoken about Jesus Christ extensively in this blog but I feel led by God to begin speaking about the Kingdom of God from this day on. Jesus Christ did not come to give us Christian religion. He came to give us the Kingdom of God.
Isaiah spoke about the Kingdom of God by saying:
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,... (Isaiah 9:6-7)
Jesus preached and taught about the Kingdom of God throughout his Ministry. (Matthew 4:17) (Matthew 4:23) (Matthew 9:35)
Jesus Christ taught about the attractiveness of the Kingdom and said that when you find it you would be ready to give up anything for it. (Matthew 13:44-46)
The Kingdom of God is really an amazing place to be in. As a child of the Kingdom, I testify that it is a Kingdom that takes care of you, protects you, honors you and does much much more than my words can express in one sentence. No earthly Kingdom can be compared to the uniqueness of the Kingdom of God.
Let me give you a sneak peek into this marvelous Kingdom. In the Kingdom of God, the King who rules and reigns is God. He is also our Father. Unlike an earthy Kingdom where there is one King and many subjects, in the Kingdom of God, God has made everybody a King and Priest. In Kingdom of God, God is interested in the financial prosperity of all His people. He makes sure that all the needs of His people are met on a daily basis. In the Kingdom of God, the sons and daughters of God are united with God in Spirit and have authority over all evil spirits, satan, sickness and every evil power under the sun. In the coming post I will be talking about all this in detail.
It is important you realize that what I am writing here is not theory. It is practical and can really be lived out on a daily basis when you understand it by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen - I have experienced this in my own life.....therefore I testify to this being the truth of God's Kingdom.....the Holy Spirit testifies to each of his children concerning this truth!!! Be blessed Krish
