One thing that is common among religions of the world namely, Hinduism, Islamism, Catholicism Judaism and all the other "isms" is that they are all very burdensome. Jesus said: ... They bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. (Matthew 23:4) It pains my heart to see billions of people burdened with religious practices that cannot save their souls from the fires of hell. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) (Ephesians 5:5)
Religion always make men look righteous outwardly but on the inside they are full of hypocrisy and uncleanness. (Matthew 23:38)
Jesus said: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. (Matthew 23:27) Paul put it this way in his letter to Timothy: Know this that in the last days perilous times will come... when men will have a form of godliness and deny it's power. They will be ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-9)
Religious books and leaders who teach you to pray five times a day, be a good person, keep the commandments, sacrifice animals, go for pilgrimages, fast weekly, inflict pain on yourself, go bald, refrain from meat, say mantras and run your hands through beads do a great job to make you look righteous outwardly, however, what really matters is not outward appearance but the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7) If you are honest with yourself, you are a filthy on the inside and you know it better than I do. (1 Corinthians 2:11)
Jesus said: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also. (Matthew 23:25-26)
Religion also gives you no power over sin. (2 Timothy 3:5) You are just as susceptible to sin as your neighbor.
That is why Jesus did not preach religion and neither do I. For me it all about lightening burdens and making God simple. What I preach is not religion but Christ and him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:2) What is the difference, you say? Religion teaches what Man must do to come to God ;I preach about how God came to Man and made a way for Man to come back to God by faith. Religion is Man's attempt to reach God but true Christianity is God's attempt to reach Man.
You do not have to do anything to get to heaven but Believe.
You do not have to do anything to get to heaven but Believe.
Paul said: I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes... (Romans 1:16-17)
So unburden yourself today! Go ahead and experience a real and personal relationship with God by Faith. (Matthew 11:28-30)
